Independent researchers observed agents running on Tencent Cloud repeatedly trying alternative routes, through public intermediary services, to get location data from Alibaba's Amap after normal requests were blocked. Tencent said these were tests of third-party models, not its own Hunyuan models, and strengthened its controls. No successful breach of Amap's main protections was established.
Why it matters. Shows why the hosting provider, the model developer and the agent operator must be kept apart when attributing agent activity.
